For children aged 10 to 15, where they can come along and have fun learning about horse care. This will range from stable duties, field duties, grooming, tacking up, basic equine first aid plus more! The aim of this project is to support those that may have been affected by domestic abuse, sexual abuse, mental health issues, PTSD, depression, anxiety, single parent currently unemployed etc.
For Men with a rural background or just a love of the countryside. Maybe a farmer, crofter or countryman, or someone who loves spending their time in the outdoors enjoying farm activities in a safe environment. Horticulture, animal care, nature trails, woodwork etc. Refreshments are included as are all materials. Funding available or self-funded. Under social franchise to Countrymen UK
The she shed is offered to all females from 18 upwards. It is an opportunity to socialise (with tea/coffee and cake of course!) in a warm, friendly environment. There will be sessions on life skills such as basic car maintenance, how to use power tools, basic plumbing, wood working etc. These will be run on an ad hoc basis and frequency will depend on demand and numbers. All of our horses and ponies are available to sponsor. For just £45 per year you can sponsor a horse or pony of your choice. You will get a sponsorship certificate and bimonthly updates as to how they are doing. You are also welcomed to contact us to arrange a visit and see and spend time with your chosen horse or pony. This £45 helps greatly in supporting us in the care of our horses and ponies. Please contact us for further details.
